Apacer AU824: New MP4 Player in India

Apacer Technology has launched a new, ultra-slim (only 0.8 cm) MP4 player – the AU824. The combination of a classic blue body with mirrored stainless steel rear fascia radiates self-assurance and charm, claimed the company. The player features a 1.8-inch TFT-LCD screen and ergonomic key design.

The AU824 also provides a slide-show function for automated browsing of photos. The horizontal screen design ensures extra clarity when viewing video content or photos. The AU824's equaliser effect provides 7 different modes to match your mood or the type of music you are listening to: normal, pop, classical, rock, jazz, bass, and custom. A-B repeat and synchronisation functions make it easier and more convenient to learn the lyrics to songs.

Apacer's AU824 also provides FM radio and digital recording capabilities. Users can record both voice and broadcast content. With support for e-books and a user interface of 12 different languages, the AU824 is a multi-function audio-visual gadget. A video conversion software is packaged with the AU824 free of charge, making it easy to deal with different file formats. The built-in rechargeable lithium ion battery provides up to 8 hours of continuous playing time from a full charge.

The device is equipped with a battery back-up, up to eight hours of continuous playing time. Some of its other features include FM radio and digital recording capabilities, the support for e-books and a user interface of 12 different languages. In addition to this Video conversion software is now available with the AU824.

The price of AU824 MP4 is Rs. 2,649 for 4GB. This player would face competition from existing players like Creative ZEN V Plus and Samsung's YP-S3QB. Even though their price may be steeper they have a brand name to back them, whereas Apacer still has to prove its mark in the music player market.
