Problem with K3B under openSUSE 11.1
hi,
Since I installed 11.1, I have regular problems with K3B, which does not seem to recognize my drive (Plextor PX-800A) with the following message when you start the application "No CD / DVD writer found.K3b did not find an optical writing device in your system. Thus, you will not be able to burn CDs or DVDs. However, you can still use other K3b features like audio track extraction or audio transcoding or ISO9660 image creation. " Any help will be extremely appreciated.

if you run as root? Also check your fstab ...
As a first step, try to manually create the directory, either:
# mkdir / media/cdrom0
If it works, check the rights in the properties, and replaces "noauto" with "auto" in fstab. You have upgraded to 11.1 or is a new installation?

hi,
it seems to me that the first launch K3B should be in root mode a little like Nero, you must give write permissions to users

To solve the problem, uninstall and delete with your manager of deposits, including conf files in your computer, and relocate.
