I have been trying to update Office 2000 Pro but the updating process keeps failing at data.msi stage, it seems as if there is something wrong with my .msi file because of which updater is refusing to accept it. I want to know if there is anything i can try further for updating Office 2000 Pro.
I had faced same issue earlier, i am not sure but i think that updater refuse to accept msi file if it is corrupted. I had simply uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2000 Pro to get rid of this issue, the updating process went smooth after reinstallation. If you want then you can try repairing it from add/remove program but if that doesn't make any difference then you will have to go with reinstallation. I Don't think there is some other solution that might help.
