Creating a network between PC and Mac
I have a desktop computer wifi (Windows XP SP3) and a macbook with Mac OSX (Leopard 10.5) and I would like to create a network between these two computers to exchange data, but I do not know how I do.
Passing through the gateway (New box)? Wifi directly between two computers?
Moreover, I wonder if it is possible to connect to several wireless network with the Airport? (I did not feel ... so I should be disconnected from the Internet to connect to remote PC).
Thank you for your help
Re: Creating a network between PC and Mac
For the MAC OS X, you have active data sharing through Samba.
To do this: System preferences>> Sharing and you check "file sharing".
You then go to "options" and you check the SMB share.
Then you can manage public folders with the little plus and minus. On the right is the user management. If you want to edit files from your PC, you must pass "Everyone" read and write.
For the PC, you have to do a right click on the file and start to share the folder as public record.
