Re: Overclock an intel 8400
Hi,
So for overclocking, you need to adjust the FSB and the vCore (voltage).
But beware, do not be too greedy, too quickly, for example does not have a single shot to 390 FSB 333 FSB. Done this by 5 or 10.
Keep us informed. Do not forget to lock the PCI-E Frequency to 100
Re: Overclock an intel 8400
Hello,
you should get to 3.5ghz without actually increase tensions. E8500 holds a 3.8-4GHz + with it vCore original. Once the correct frequency is reached, you can boot a 400x9 but there is always a risk of deterioration in the overclocking. If it can reassure you I boot a 510x9.5 carefree. It is preferable given the overclocking you search not to increase tensions if it is not necessary.
PS: if for Gaming believe me, you will not see the difference, I had personal 3.16ghz or 3.6GHz's eye I do not feel l overclock
even if the benchmarks on some points you win, you win a rather overclock the Graphics card, pushing a little memory, I had the bandwidth of a GTX280 with my HD4870 512mb.
Re: Overclock an intel 8400
indeed!
to play overclock the CPU does not change much, unless the graphics card is restricted by the CPU (cpu limited), then in this case the CPU overclock can be useful! But I do not think a HD 4870 is restrained by an even E8400 @ 3GHz
