No Internet on Windows 98
Hey guys!
I have bought an old PC @ Rs. 999 just for experimenting and installing DSL [Damn Small Linux]. I have currently installed Windows 98. It doesn't have an onboard LAN port and i don't have a LAN card. A friend of mine had Bought NeufBox when he had toured europe, which i use as a Switch for home networking of Laptops and my main Rig. It has a USB connection. So i decided to connect the neufbox to the PC with USB, but no harware was detected, So i decided to insert the cd and install the software, but it told me to connect the device so that the setup can continue but i had already connected neufbox to the PC.
Code:
Old PC Config :
PIII@450Mhz
128MB RAM
ATi Radeon 64MB
20GB Hard disk
Help guys!
Re: No Internet on Windows 98
Hey!
I suggest you to buy a standard PCI network card. Windows 98 requires drivers for USB to be installed before you use any USB device. Windows 98 is far forgotten in my memories...! I don't remember when last i saw windows 98 on any computer...! Anyways all the best...!

Re: No Internet on Windows 98
Hey..!
You have installed the software before installing the USB drivers, right? All you need to do is, Uninstall the software and drivers, restart your computer and install the drivers again... Done...! All the best..!
