Power savings Phenom2 + DDR3?
hi,
i have system with every saving heat / power to the right place. From the performance, there are DDR2 / 3 for the Phenom nothing, but has a JEDEC DDR3 yes of 1.5 V, which is less than the DDR2 of 1.8 V are required. My question is specifically: How many watts I have a spare, if I use DDR3? The most important point here is the CPU, since they will be passively cooled. AMD has the memory controller so finally integrated into the CPU. Thank you in advance for the answers.

DDR3 has higher clock speeds and power dissipation is always in tension and stroke together. The tension is the greater influence - whether through multi-stroke back is experienced.

hi,
Phenom II X4 810, with its 4 MB L3 cache and DDR3-based platform, is clearly using the least amount of power under idle conditions. The simulated Phenom II X4 910, denoted by the black line, uses significantly more power.
