MSN Messenger Whiteboard problem
Hey Everyone,
I'm running Windows Xp as well as using MSN Messenger on my system. I can not find the Whiteboard option. Under "Actions" there is no option to start Whiteboard. Can any body tell me that how do i get back the Whiteboard option? Does any one knows how can i bring it back on my system? Any help on this would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Re: MSN Messenger Whiteboard problem
Maybe UPnP is disabled? You can use GRC's little " UnPlug n' Pray" utility to Enable/Disable it.
Re: MSN Messenger Whiteboard problem
The Universal Plug and Play service (UPnP), which is installed and running in all versions of Windows XP and may be loaded into Windows 98 and ME essentially turns every one of those systems into a wide-open Internet server. This server listens for TCP connections on port 5000 and for UDP 'datagram' packets arriving on port 1900. This allows malicious hackers (or high-speed Internet worms) located anywhere in the world to scan for, and locate, individual Windows UPnP-equipped machines.
Re: MSN Messenger Whiteboard problem
Go to your MSN Messenger--> Help--> Help Topics--> type 'whiteboard'. It will give you all the information that you needed.
