I have a G5 but am running an old Quark version (4.0) in Classic OS 9.
Everytime I create a PDF through distiller, and send it off to the printers - the same message comes back 'cannot embedd font - Lucida sans'.
How can I get rid of this message ?
Note that - I can recall, both programs were written with print publishers in mind, so I can't imagine any problems of that sort. Though it has been a long time since I used quark and OS9
Is it possible to output one page of the document as an EPS and run that through distiller manually? I had trouble outputting a document directly from quark to distiller, though that was 4 years ago now and a fairly antequated version of acrobat.
The other thing to test would be replacing your copy of Lucida Sans, sometimes; fonts just screw up.
As a very very last resort, you could try outlining all of your copy that uses Lucida Sans.
Try loading the font in 'font book' in the classic section and have try loading the font from extenis suitcase - as I think that should work - as it has the 'suitcase bridge' extension so you can cross both platforms from OS9 to OSX.
Follow signature instructions...
Also try using MPC to see if the same thing happens.
