New graphic card for Medion 8800
Must have changed my graphics card in my old Medion 8800 (from 2006)
Current card is a PCI Nvidia 6700XL m/128mb RAM.
The machine is used by kids to play car / shooting game.
Will also want to upgrade to 2GB of RAM. I've Looked much online but have only been "too stupid" to it. It is a jungle with many names when you are not inside the...
The task is simple: Find a good "playing card". Which graphics card to the machine will "bear"??
In advance many thanks for your help.

You can get a Radeon 4670 to just over 500, - It is a really nice card, and provides for excellent price.

We are in the same situation (Medion 8800 with PCI Nvidia 6700XL m/128mb RAM) and would like to upgrade to such a large as possible (without having to pay thousands).
We fell over Inno 3D NVIDIA Gforce 9800 with 1GB of RAM (I-9800GT-I5GTCD).
In normal use of the PC, no problems. But when we play the heavy games like Empire Total War, it takes a while then freezes the machine and the screen makes a mat strange pattern. Only restart will help then.
We looked at a lot of pages and tried almost everything possible, including to disable card readers, wireless connections and the second we took the proposal for a round on the net.
Now the video card then returned (we approached as with the 14 day cooling off) and we are looking for another video card.
Some ideas on the problem and what we should go after?

Thank you very very much.
I think I should order this Radeon 4670 as it seems to be a better option with many things.
