Disc Error 51 - Device\Harddisk5\D WinXp - Solution
Running WinXP. Dozens of Error Code 51 -
An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk5\D during a paging operation.
Solved my problem, thanks to Jim and Gerry's Thread Disk Error.
Harddisk 5 on my Hp is the Seagate Free Agent external drive. All I did, to correct the problem, was run Windows Error Checking Program on the Seagate Drive.
Gerry , on Jim's Post, showed me how to identify the correct drive.
Want to thank the both of them, and this site. Hope the solution for me, works for another member.

Forgot to include in my post, that I also cleared my Page File (Virtual Memory). Used - Administrative Tools - Local Security Policy - Local Policy - Security Options - Clear Virtual Memory Page. Double clicked on icon, checked Enable radio button. Restarted computer. then went back and checked the
Disable button.

i found out that \Device\Harddisk0\D refers to your primary harddisk, just to be sure right click on my computer and manage, there go to disk management and see which harddisk is named "Disk 0"
that should be the disk. If it is your primary harddisk you should backup everything immediatly, because it's going to crash and crash for good. i tried everything to repair it, but even a low level format would not help, i still have to try and see if a can use it as a secondary drive

I think the thread you are talking about is this - http://forums.techarena.in/xp-hardware/1105566.htm
Another thought. On another site I found when I googled "\Device\Harddisk0\D" they mentioned disabling Native Command Queuing (NCQ) in the Nvidia SATA driver
