Sort Start menu in Windows 7 build 7048

In the start menu (ie the box above the All Programs), I manually pin fixed icons what I use most often. In Vista and Windows 7 build 7000 have been able to change the order of things in the list by drag & drop, but now in build 7048 so it does not work anymore. I have tried to switch on / off everything that seems relevant in the Customize Start Menu.

I prefer them now, I get a question if I want to open it, I pull it and it drops it. This must surely be a bug?

They seem to fall into the scheme as pin fixed them so you can do all from the start in the right order, but is there anyone who knows any better way?

I agree with you that this is very annoying. I also want to be able to put stuff where I want them in my start menu. Hope there will be an update to this. By the way, do you know or if it is possible to get the "old start menu" which can be obtained at XP and Vista. I like it better.

Small problems that are to be reckoned with in terms of unofficial works where these are not tested just as thoroughly as official ones. As for the classic start menu.. it is not included in Windows 7, but you are stuck with the start menu that comes with as standard.
