I have windows XP sp 3 & i have windows Internet Explorer 6 on my machine.
I want to install Internet Explorer 8.
Can you please tell me how to install Windows Explorer 8?
Do i need to install IE 7 first?
Do i have to uninstall IE 6 before installing IE 8?
Please let me know the installation process!

Re: Installing Internet Explorer 8 on Windows XP
On Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 Platforms:
* Open the Windows Control Panel and click Add or Remove Programs
* Select Windows Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1 and click Remove
* Your computer will be reverted to IE6 + previous IE6 security updates or IE7 + previous IE7 security updates
* You can confirm that by going to Tools->Help About next time you launch IE
* Be sure to check for any new security updates
Now you are ready to install IE 8

You don't need to uninstall the previous one...Setup will automatically do that.
The complete installation package is of course available directly from Microsoft.
You can get it HERE :
Windows XP x86
