I am facing a strange problem with my HP noteBook. I have been connected with this notebook to a Windows Workgroup environment with a wireless network connectivity.
I am facing long boot problems with this notebook as it hangs while Loading your personal settings. I tried with troubleshooting option and enabled Restore network connections for login and logout. But it turns out with an error message saying that Network restoration error.
Please provide some suggetsion regarding this

Re: Network Connection Restore Error
The Restore CD process requires that there be a DHCP server on your network. You appear to be saying that you don't use DHCP at home, in which case the PC you're running the Restore CD on won't be able to obtain an IP address.
Re: Network Connection Restore Error
Unknown network error usually points to a netbios or driver issue. Have you opened the backup of the home computer you are trying to restore from another computer and copied the drivers from the 'Windows Home Server drivers for restore' to a thumb drive in a 'drivers' folder, plugged the thumb drive with the drivers into the home computer you are attempting to restore and then booted it with the restore cd? This should slurp up your network card drivers during boot and provide you with all services.
The beta has been concluded as we are a released product, I'm fairly certain that our windows updates are version specific and won't install on an RC build but I haven't tried that.
Re: Network Connection Restore Error
ease try disabling the IP reservation for your home server on the router and rebooting your home server so that it takes an IP from the DHCP pool. Once the home server is online again, try to run the restore.
Re: Network Connection Restore Error
This problem comes due to the fact of a missing dhcp Server. The restore Client doesn't get a IP Adress (When there is no Broadband Router or another DHCP Server where should it get the IP from). So I installed and configured a DHCP Server on the Homeserver. Afterwards the Restoreclient was suddenly able to connect to the Homeserver and start the Restore. Imo there is a dhcp Server missing in the Homeserver.
