Cannot extend partition in Windows 7

Hi friends,

I have recently bought a Windows 7 form my friends and was trying to install Windows 7 as my new operating System over here i am having an issue where i cannot extend my hard disk partition.can anyone help me out with this issue.

Sure i will help you out with this issue before that you need to follow the below steps:-

1. Before going ahead you need to delete the partition or volume to make it a unallocated partiton to be able to extend the partition or volume you want into it.
   
2. Goto Control Panel , and click on the Administrative Tools icon.
   
3. Click on Computer Management in Administrative Tools.
   
4. In the left pane under Storage, click on Disk Management.
   
   
5. In the middle pane, right click on the partition or volume to the left of the unallocated partition that you want to extend into and click on Extend Volume.
   
6. Click on the Next button.
   
7. Type in how many MB (1 GB = 1024 MB) you want to use from the unallocated partition to extend the selected partition (step 5) into, then click on the Next button.
   
8. Now click on the Finish button.
   
9. The partition or volume has now been extended into the assigned unallocted partition space (step 7).
   
10. Now Finally close the Computer Management window and reboot your PC.
