Hello,
I have a problem with IE on Vista, it takes a long memory, I understand why, with only 3 tabs it takes more than 200 Mb!, The problem does not arise immediately but after a few hours of surfing ...
I don't know what causes it?
Thank you

Which version of IE?
Other programs installed that could interfere? (Antivirus, Anti-pishing, popup blocker, etc ...) If not , use Firefox . Even with all the windows opened on the single process, Firefox still used less memory
I doubt it is 200Mb, as that amount would surely overload most pcs. You may mean 200K, but never the less it is a large amount. Run a virus and spyware scan. Also try the disk cleanup utility as cookies and websites are stored onto your computer, eventually eating up a lot of space.
1. Does the behavior persist if you start IE in No Add-ons mode? To start IE in No Add-ons mode:
Right-click on the blue IE desktop icon and select Start without Add-ons; or
Start > (All) Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer (No add-ons).
2. Does the behavior persist if you Reset IE Settings (RIES)?
