Hi
i have been trying uninstall msn messenger,But i didn't found it in ADD/ remove programs so just decided to delete directly from the program files , i thought this would work but now as i'm trying to install the the Msn messenger 8.5 , installation says me "version you are trying to install is older than the version you have now,". Now what do i do? i'm stuck fully that i can't uninstall and install msn messenger?
Please help me. Thank you.
There is a couple ways to uninstall MSN Messenger. One way is too run this command from Start | Run.

However, it does not appear from the Add/Remove Programs applet in the Control Panel. In order for it to show up there, you must first edit the file named sysoc.inf. This file can be found in a folder named INF, which is a subfolder of the Windows folder (or in some cases the winnt folder, depending on how your OS was installed).
You can open that file in notepad. Look for the following line:
