How to read and modify excel file using PHP script

Hi friends,

I have some query about excel.I need to read data from the cell in excel file and at the same time i also need to update the same cell,but over here there i have put a condition that the color which i have kept for my specific cell should not get changed.

Can anyone provide me a solution for this query.it would be great for me.

I would suggest you to use Spread sheet Writer Class.

Thanks for replying me it's an very good idea to use Spread sheet Writer Class but with this option we can only write in excel sheet we cannot edit or modify it.

Instead of going with Php i would suggest you to go with Pearl because over here you do have the facility for edit,modify the cell in Excel file.
