While Recording data in CD Writer NERO 8.1.1.1 and no matter what kind of file may be, I get an error saying "illegal disc" during prcess of writing starts.
These are brand new ASUS CD-RW was working fine the other day all of a sudden this started happening. Now i cant burn a CD.
Maybe I screwed something up by enabling overburning or something?
I hope its a software problem and my burner is not broke.
May be Nero wants you to buy Nero branded disks? LOL! Sounds like a mucked up setting. Or need software update maybe.
It worked fine the other day with the same type of cd.
And it only happens with audio cds.
Other seemed to record fine.
Did overburning mess something up?
I turned it off through same problem persists.
which data are you trying to write? Copying a CD or writing music?
Nero 8 is DRM haven. Checks everything even the mp3s you make. Has to have copyright info.
Get Alcohol 120% or IMGBurn(free) as it also writes files to CDs/DVDs.
Try changing the the wires as in one of my frien was having a same problem and it worked after chaning of wires...!
Or try removing the software & Reinstall the software!
