Creative SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio Windows Vista
Hello,
The sound card Creative SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio in Windows Vista (64bit) is not running .
The onboard sound of my motherboard, I have been disabled in bios.
The Device Manager knows only one high-definition audio device.
Drivers can not find the sound card to which they belong.
I would be glad if someone can help me.
Re: Creative SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio Windows Vista
since yesterday I have the same problem. Previously ran the card about one week .
However, I have an X-Fi Titanium and Vista 32bit.
In the Device Manager is two times high-definition audio device ". If I expand the map is only once "high-definition audio device". But it is ok so, because when it still ran once stood "High Definition Audio Device" and once the X-Fi card. For some reason, the X-Fi as a "High Definition Audio Device" detected. I have Vista already installed, but the same result.
Would be nice if someone had an idea what it is.
Re: Creative SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio Windows Vista
I would try the following :
Driver uninstall, Driver Cleaner
All audio equipment from the Panel.
Then reboot and the latest drivers from the Creative Home install.
Re: Creative SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio Windows Vista
since I reinstalled Vista already have, can not it be the old driver.
Audio Devices, I have already uninstalled. But Vista will automatically install any standard driver, so that in the device manager again two "high-definition audio device" are used. And when I use the Creative drivers want to install the driver says he has no sound card found.
Re: Creative SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio Windows Vista
Creative's drivers look at the installation after the x-fi card it finds. Since he does not find the driver, I could not even install. Therefore there are no remains of a creative driver on the system. In the Device Manager is not an error, but Vista just because the card as a "High-definition audio devices installed. How many entries are available to you in Device Manager under Audio Controller?
