The machine can not find the processor
I have built a PC, and most have works as it should without any major problems. The only one that is a little strange is that the PC can not identify the CPU. It's only "AMD processor model unknown". I can not run Core Temp, then it appears that the CPU is not supported.
The motherboard is the type of Asus M3A78-T, and the processor is an AMD X4 940 BE
Re: The machine can not find the processor
This seems to be quiet strange to me. May be a BIOS update of the motherboard might help you?
Re: The machine can not find the processor
It was a good idea.
It came with its own software from Asus to update the BIOS, but it can not connect to the internet when I try to search for update with it. I can download it manually and then run it with the program, but the problem is that I do not find any bios update on the pages of Asus.
Right now I found it but should I update to the latest bios version, or are wondering what to take a step by step updates?
Re: The machine can not find the processor
Use 5 minutes to Google the BIOS you intend to upgrade in order to determine whether there are any known issues with it.
Have been several problems with the Asus card after having upgraded the BIOS and the whole card has the network down.
Moreover, one must be very careful not to upgrade to the BETA BIOS ...
Re: The machine can not find the processor
Alright. Downloaded the latest bios update for your motherboard and everything works now.
Thanks for your help.
