Reliance decrease local/STD rates by 40 %

Reliance Communications announced the slashing of tariff for local and STD calls by as much as 40 percent for its prepaid CDMA subscribers in Karnataka.

As per the offer, customers will be able to make a local call to any phone at 60 paise per minute and STD at Rs 1.20 per minute for lifetime by paying Rs 444. Customers keen on taking up the offer for a shorter peirod could do so by opting for Rs 34 for one month and Rs 144 for six months.

Before that the call rates were 99 paise for local and Rs 1.50 paise for STD.
