4:3 images to 16:9 without deformation
Since acquiring my new monitor benq T2200HD, the images that I put on my wallpaper have deformed. I have been searching on google without any success. I wondered if there is any program that passes the 4:3 images to 16:9 without reaching deformation.
Re: 4:3 images to 16:9 without deformation
Any editor can do this, just cut to that level.
Re: 4:3 images to 16:9 without deformation
Gusgr8 Please, do not explicate better understand, of course I forgot to mention that the new monitor is 22 inches.
Re: 4:3 images to 16:9 without deformation
What is the resolution of the images? And what resolution you have kept for the monitor?
Re: 4:3 images to 16:9 without deformation
The image resolution is 2400X2005, and my monitor is at 1280x768 to 1920x1080 maximum supported by the monitor.
The monitor is a Benq T2200HD of 22", but the real view is something like 21.5" to 75Hz refresh rate.
Re: 4:3 images to 16:9 without deformation
When you put background images in windows, you have three options:
Mosaic - makes the image repeat, not interested.
Stretching - You're using that as your picture format is 4:3, and the monitor is 16:9, so as you can see, the image is stretched and distorted, so the pictures can do two things, either add black bars to the left and right of image or piece of trim above and below, you can do this with any decent image viewer. I use IrfanView, which is free.
Center - This is my favorite because it does not stretch or deform the image, and an image pixel is a pixel on the screen. You can have a rare funds without having to convert anything, the only downside is that the images must be equal or smaller than the screen resolution not to lose by putting areas.
What would I do for you? First use the native display resolution 1080, and then put the pictures in background with mode center, and if they are higher in 1080, resize to 1080 with IrfanView.
Re: 4:3 images to 16:9 without deformation
That explanation was clear to me, but I have a doubt and that is when I switch the monitor on full hd, icons see the super small gain more space but I like what I like to 1280x768, there is some way or by changing the dots per inch in the choices I serve.
Thanks again and Excuse
Re: 4:3 images to 16:9 without deformation
In display properties go to the fourth tab "Appearance" and then click advanced options and get a dialog box where you can configure the desktop.
Re: 4:3 images to 16:9 without deformation
What you can do is start the Paint, open the image and select the selection tool and select the part of the image you want to use but always respecting the 16:9 (in your case, the resolution you have on you monitor) with the coordinates you have on the bottom. Then copy, create new document, paste and save the format you want and thats it.
