Re: Missing Files For Windows Service Pack 3
Can you post some more information about your computer; make, model, CPU brand, any additional hardware upgrades and applications, this will help to narrow down the issue. In the mean time, I'll have a look at the support.microsoft.com website and search for anything regarding updating to sp3 and the files that you have mentioned

Download the biosinfo.inf (not .ini)
Boot of the XP CD and go to the recovery console. At the > prompt type:
copy a:\biosinfo.inf c:\windows\inf
reboot and see if you get the same message.
Microsoft mentions this problem, but I don't think their solution will solve anything:

Re: Missing Files For Windows Service Pack 3
Looks like you just installed XP's SP2.
Run EasyCleaner
It fixes dead-end registry entries.
Re: Missing Files For Windows Service Pack 3
If you installed SP3 as standalone update (download SP3 EXE and installing it) then probably you can uninstall it from Add/Remove Programs. The original files should be restored back to SP2. My suggestion is, after uninstalling SP3, run SFC check again so it can restore original XP files from your XP CD.
