disable autoplay in webpage
This is Windows Vista, with IE7 and WMP11. I have installed windows media player browser plugin. Now whenever I visit any webpage that has embedded media player, it starts playing the music itself. What i want to do is set the browser plugin to display the player controls instead of playing them automatically? Is that possible? If yes, please let me know how.
Thank you very much for you helps.
Re: disable autoplay in webpage
There use to be a code with every embedded media file that make it to show or not to show controls or whether to play or not automatically. Is the site you visiting have the codes to not show up the control and play directly, you or your browser plugin cannot do anything with that.
Re: disable autoplay in webpage
That’s correct. Those codes are written by the page creator and we cannot change it. What you can do is if you have multimedia keyboard just hit the mute button to stop the sound like I do with my Logitech wireless keyboard.
