Hello , Nice to Hear from You this rive uses a short wire to connect to a computer's USB (Universal Serial Bus) port. The PC detects the drive, and voila, there's an extra storage device. In testing, data transfer rates between Aegis Mini and an internal hard drive were surprisingly fast -- quicker than any flash storage device I've used -- which makes it an ideal backup device.
