Canon Scanner : Can not find required Library
hi,
i have Canon CS5600F CCD Scanner, run under Windows vista, when scanning text "cannot find required library". And tells me to reinstall the software. When doing an OCR scan, all goes well until the actual OCR process begins. Then this error occurs.What has happened and what is the solution?Can anyone help!!!
Re: Can not find required Library
Does it tell you which library?
By "library" it probably means a file on your computer with the extension ".dll" (which stands for "dynamic link library").If a re-install doesn't solve the problem, and you have the name of the dll.
Re: Canon Scanner : Can not find required Library
it looks like __LIBGL_PATH__ is a variable that should be defined in Makefile but for some reason it is not being defined correctly.
Try edit the "Makefile" file in 'root/metisse-0.3.5' and see if there it is any ocurence for that variable.
Re: Canon Scanner : Can not find required Library
you can always try issue ./configure command like this:
ENV='-L /usr/lib' ./configure
this instructes the compiler to search for libraries in '/usr
Re: Canon Scanner : Can not find required Library
Contact canon again and try to follow up. That may be the slimmest straw of all, but perhaps still worth trying. Get all the info you can and call them on the phone so you don't just get their automated wild goose chase again.
