I have a Nvidia GeForce 8800GTS 640mb and installed speedfan to see my temperature but I can see my graphics card (GPU) at 69-73 degrees when not running games or the like. and reaches more than 80-86 degrees when I play graphic intensive games. Is this normal ?
It is perhaps just a little at the high end, but certainly not something the card can not pass. according to Nvidia itself fail temp on the chip that sits on a 8800GTS approx. 145 grader C. 145 degrees C.
Now I do not specifically which card it is, but I assume it is one with the big cooler (fills 2 slots). But I would think that due to lack of Airflow in your cabinet generally.
anyways. It is not something your card plus just smoke, but it will probably shorten the life that lies just received . "normal" idle temp for the card is 50-60 C and 100% load temp 65-80 C.
Sounds good. Was a little nervous because speedfan, it is burning logo beside the temperature hehe. But it may be because I do not have plates on the cabinet?
To take the side plates of the Cabinet should make it easier for the div. parts to get "fresh air" so no ... If the temperature you typed pages are taken by. what they saw on the pages ? a completely different thing is the card overclock, and now you have speed fan, what is the RPM so when the card is idle?
The reason the pages are not on is because I do not have them anymore. Lost it when I had to move so do not know what the temperature is with them! Regarding says Fan1 RPM: 2021 RPM Fan2-5 is 0 RPM.
