Download BookmarkDD to Check and Delete Duplicated Bookmarks in Firefox
BookmarkDD is a very useful extension that helps you manage your bookmarks. It notices you when duplicate bookmark is added, specify where is the previous URL and give you the choice to change the parent folder of duplicate bookmark. There is also a window to manage all duplicate bookmarks already in your bookmarks.
Once download the add-on, you will need to restart the Firefox web browsers for it to be effective. After completion, a new drop down menu item with the name of BookmarkDD Options will appear under Tool menu that allows users to customize the settings. Without complicated setup needed, the add-on will automatically detect any duplicated bookmarks in the folders and let users delete it in simple way. Besides, it will scan through your bookmark lists and alert users on any new duplicate bookmarks before a similar bookmarks are going to be added.
The Firefox add-on is compatible with Firefox version 1.0 to 3.0.* and users can get a quick download at Mozilla for immediate use.

when you have merged bookmarks' files you can move all folders of one file to a specific folder (example: 'imported') and select this folder to automatically delete duplicates within it. After this operation you still have to arrange bookmarks not deleted from 'imported' folder.

The new development version (0.7.0) adds partial support to Firefox 3. This version only provides the search Duplicates fonctionality without the possibility to AUTOMATICALLY delete duplicates within same folder or in specified folder.
Detection of duplicate bookmark in real time (means when you add bookmark) is not available. Firefox 3 shows a yellow star in URL bar to inform that an URL is already bookmarked.
