Hello to all.
I used this forum to help me on Far Cry because I do so by making network, or more exactly lan game over the Internet.
I use Hamachi and it works very well. I created a virtual network for computers so I can play like I am a LAN but with Far Cry, it would not work. I have this message appears: "lan servers are restricted to lan ip addresses".
I do not understand this message and whatsoever Hamachi do this because it assigns a IP address 5.XX.XX.XX
I also think that this is due to address in 5.xxx.xxx.xxx Hamachi, which is a class C, so routable Internet address.
The same for BF2: ok with Hamachi, but we must allow BF2 to access the Internet at the firewall (in my case: Zonealarm), then we play in LAN through Hamachi. The address class C is, again, guilty. I published on my site (dedicated to networking with my friends) a page on Hamachi.
I solved my problem thanks to a patch given to me by my friend, Hi you need far cry with Patch 1.33 + Hamachi software to create a distance and also the patch to modify a dll far cry to use with hamachi.
Where can I download all this?
