Windows XP won’t powerdown automatically
Hello friends,
I am facing an issue with my PC.I have recently install Windows XP SP2 and now i am not able to Power it down.Whenever i try to give shut down command it's not taking it can anyone help me out with this issue.

Sure i will help you out with this issue try to Open the Power Options by going into Control Panel. If there is an APM tab, make sure the Enable Advanced Power Management Support box is checked.

I try to do the above things but it's not working for me any other solution.

I was also facing such kind of issue i try to follow the below steps and it worked for me.
- Right-click on the My Computer icon.
- Click Properties - -> Hardware - - >Device Manager - - >View.
- Check the box labeled Show Hidden Devices.
- If it’s available on your computer, there will be a red X on the APM/NT Legacy Node.
Try enabling it and see if this resolves the powerdown problem
