Asus P5q3 deluxe wireless network problem
In the "network connections", the wireless network icon is displayed, yet the "automatic configuration wireless network" is not starting. When I look in the device manager and I ask that display hidden devices, I see a driver "Realtek EAPPkt protocol" which displays a cross on it (device off). When I try to activate windows xp tells me it can not do it (code 22). Help
So for the moment, it is impossible to connect to wireless network.
PS: Also I'm using a mobo P5Q3 deluxe WiFi integrated.
Re: Asus P5q3 deluxe wireless network problem
see if the wifi is not disable in the bios.
Re: Asus P5q3 deluxe wireless network problem
I can't really answer your onboard WiFi question but i can tell you that it should be a really good board. I myself am using the P5Q deluxe, basically no DDR3 and WiFit compared to the P5Q3 Deluxe/WiFi-AP. I absolutely love every part of my P5Q Deluxe....except the onboard sound...worse ever in my opinion. OC really well and very stable voltage.
Re: Asus P5q3 deluxe wireless network problem
Thank you for your suggestion. In fact I checked and the onboard wifi was enabled in the BIOS settings. Meanwhile I found the solution on the net that: someone with the same mobo (one with Asus P5Q3 deluxe WiFi AP @ n) had exactly the same problem: it appears that for unknown reasons, it may happen that the integrated wifi is simply more recognized (as if it did not exist, not as if we did not have the right drivers) and that the only solution is to physically disconnect the power and then reboot the PC. Indeed, there is a small current that continues to pass through the mobo even when switched off your PC.
A few seconds later, the Wifi was thus running again.
And if anyone can explain the phenomenon I'm interested!
