Turn off camera sound in nokia N95

This is a small trick on how to disable the camera sounds in N95. i have tested it on my mobile and it works.

1. Turn on "Caps Off"
2. Open X-plore
3. Goto "Z:\Private\10202be9\101F8809.txt"
4. Copy the file to "C:\Private\10202be9\101F8809.txt"
5. Edit the file "101F8809.txt"
6. At the end of the file, you will find the line

0x7 int 1 0 cap_rd=alwayspass
cap_wr=alwaysfail

7. Then change it to

0x7 int 0 0 cap_rd=alwayspass
cap_wr=alwaysfail


8. Save the file and exit X-plore
9. Turn on "Caps On"
10. Turn off "Warning tones" in your profile
11. Restart the phone.

Now it's done & No more sounds in camera!!

To recover your camera sound back.

To recover your Camera sounds just 'turn on' the Warning Tones in your active Profile & your camera sound will appear again,To turn it off again turn off the warning tones. Which effectively means once you have edited & pasted that text file the Camera Sound control will rest with turning the warning Tones On / Off

Tested on my n95
May work on other phone

To remove the shutter sound on hacked phones like n95
You must have Rom Patcher installed on phone
install NoCameraSound.rmp

• Go into MAIN CAMERA
• Options,
• Settings,
• Change to Camera 4 tone,
• Reboot Phone:thumbup1:

HI buddy, first of all Welcome to Techarena India Forums. Now, You need to download and install Rom Patcher and NoCameraSound.rmp on your mobile phone. As per the forums rules we cannot provide any external links, hence you will need to search it your self and download. Just put "Rom Patcher" in google and download it from the first link. Than put "NoCameraSound.rmp" and download it from the 3rd link. Thats it.
