Panda Antivirus detected as virus
I have been using Panda anti virus since a year. It is soon outdated and I downloaded a new one called Avast! today. Panda and Avast! would not work so uninstalled panda when it came up a message about the virus. I have tried everything to remove it, but it's not. It turns out that a virus has taken my antivirus program. How is it possible? Do I need to deliver the PC to remove the virus? Suggestions for what I can do? Do I need to deliver the PC in? Please help me!
Re: Panda Antivirus detected as virus
First: no reason to panic. It happens when you run two antivirus programs at once - they come in conflict and believe that one or the other is a virus. Delete the "virus" when you receive a notification about the deletion and Panda. Is it still a struggle, delete avast, then Panda and installing avast again.
Re: Panda Antivirus detected as virus
Sorry, was written there: It's not there neither to remove, delete or repair when the virus comes up message. It is a 'worm' which has been on the antivirus program so that it acts as a virus. But thanks for your reply
Re: Panda Antivirus detected as virus
Download avast, disconnect the computer from the network and uninstall both. Install avast again.
Re: Panda Antivirus detected as virus
Hi,
Avast detects any left over of panda as malware and panda detectes any left over of Avast as malware.
The problem is on both sides, not only on Panda's side.
Anyway don't worry because it's not any malware not detected by the previous protection, the new detectetion it's doen through the heuristic detections of each product.
