SBS2008: Remote Web Workplace error afther changing local IP
We are running a small business with SBS 2008. Everything was working fine without any problem. Two days ago I changed my local (static) IP-address and since then whenever I click the mail button, I keep getting the following error message in the Remote Web Workplace:
"There is a problem in Remote Web Workplace. A logon error occurred: There is a problem communicating with the Outlook Web Access server..
To access the external Web applications that Remote Web Workplace uses, log on manually. Contact the person who provides technical support for four network "
As troubleshooting I link to OWA login page but due to this I need to login again in order to get my mails. Any idea what changes do I need to make to get this problem solved? Thanks in advance.

To be frank I don’t know much about this but just to help you out I would like to ask whether you ran the “connect to internet” wizard? If not, try running the same. I guess it will fix the issue.

I think connect to internet is available in SBS 2003, in 2008 it is called "fix my network" wizard which you need to run. Also you can download and install the updates provided in the following KB http://www.microsoft.com/DownLoads/d...displaylang=en. Once done, run the SBS 2008 BPA.

Thank you both of you for the helps but none of them helped me.
Any other ideas?
Re: SBS2008: Remote Web Workplace error afther changing local IP
Hi,
Im having similar problems to what is being reported on this post also.
I recently had the IP address changed by the offices I let from, so now I have the new external ip address and have tried to ran the "configure remote access" and it asks you for the external ip, so I put the new ip i have.
This doesnt seem to work. I have used whatismyip website to determine the correct address and it is right.
so the ipconfig/all displays
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>ipconfig/all

Can anyone help with this issue?
Re: SBS2008: Remote Web Workplace error afther changing local IP
and additional to this info, when i try to run the repair internet and email settings i get;
the wizard cannot set the dhcp scope options. ensure that the dhcp server is running and that a scope is defined. alternatively, disable the dhcp service manually, and then configure your client computer ip address and properties. for more information about manually configuring client computers, see help and support.
I cant get the dhcp server service to run, if that makes any difference, and my server is a dhcp server.
