LAN connection too slowly with XP
hi,
I have problem with the connection by 2 XP-PCs the LAN connection not correctly one charges to capacity and somewhere at 1-2%.
Then to the same network (over rout are connected all PCs) a buddy with Vista and with to copy from (larger) files to its computer attached itself was extent of utilization full with 95%-100%.How can be? Does an attitude is missing to be set with XP somewhat or have?
Re: LAN connection too slowly with XP
This makes the browse time quicker, You can also use the following to use 100% of the available bandwidth.
1. Type in gbpedit.msc from Run command
2. Navigate to Computer Configuration --> Admin Templates --> Network --> QoS Packet Scheduler
3. Change the entry of Limit Reservable Bandwidth to enabled, with a bandwidth limit of 0%.Reboot and it should make download/upload speeds a bit quicker.
Re: LAN connection too slowly with XP
If XP1 lasts => XP2 longer than XP1 => Vista can it actually only because of the XP2 be, or?There then ME can be only something at the network map, or a service etc. brakes out.XP has anyhow according to standard no inserted brake Suspicion beside the network map (on auto+sing posed?) stop is usually a Firewall, virus scanner or the like.
Re: LAN connection too slowly with XP
I meant not at all the SP, but meant the different XP computers (1 and 2).You say that copying a XP computer lasts on another long. (thus of XP1 on XP2)From a Vista PC on the XP (or differently rum one) ' s goes faster. (Thus XP1 on Vista)
