What is jqs.exe in task manager
Hello guys,
My question concerning the process of Java JQS.exe. Since I installed the new version of Java, there would be this new process in Task Manager so is there any connection between both of them or at most 4 or 5% of operation, together with explorer.exe and above all just turn on the pc asks me to connection to the Internet.
Is this normal? Or is it infected? :)
Can I terminate this process?
Re: What is jqs.exe in task manager
Hi,
jqs.exe is a jqs\r belonging to Java(TM) Platform SE 6 U5\r from Sun Microsystems, Inc. located in C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\jqs.exe
Re: What is jqs.exe in task manager
jqs.exe uses excessive system and memory resources with no corresponding benefit. Applications such as these should be disabled to improve overall system performance.
Re: What is jqs.exe in task manager
Hi,
Jqs.exe is the Java Quick Starter which was designed to improve the startup time of Java applets and applications by prefetching Java Runtime Environment files frequently into memory. That’s mainly interesting for users who work with Java on a day to day basis. Everyone else might be better of disabling the Java Quick Starter.
