Cooling crossfire HD 4850
Hello,
I have a crossfire ATI HD 4850. And I would like to lower the temperature threshold at which the fan speed.
Let me explain: At present the temperature of my card idle is 85 ° (hence the fan speed when the temperature is exceeded). I would therefore set a threshold temperature to lower the acceleration of the fans. I could do it manually but I think that there must be a way to lower threshold is!
I hope I was clear!
Thank you in advance!
Re: Cooling crossfire HD 4850
well ATi says the card can go up to 126 degrees so 80 is really good in comparision to 85 on the 280gtx a card that slows at 105 degrees. by thew way What software are you using to report temperatures ? riva tuner or ATI Tray Tools ?
Re: Cooling crossfire HD 4850
I tested with RivaTuner by following this tutorial, But a moment one of the buttons used in the tutorial does not appear in my version of RivaTuner.
As for ATI tray tools impossible to install. It may not work on vista 64 bit.
Re: Cooling crossfire HD 4850
No it's not dangerous. certainly not desirable, but imminent death does not await the graphics card that hits 100 C. every GPU is different and can handle different amounts of heat. new GPU's can handle a lot more heat than they used to. especially ATI's.
