Unable to send emails with Windows Mail

I have HP dv632 laptop with Vista Home Premium installed on it. Was able to send and receive emails with no problem until going on vacation 3 weeks ago. While in a hotel, developed inability to send any emails. This hotel had High Speed and not WiFi While attempting to send email, received message error unknown. I checked my settings in accounts, and they were all in synch. I have Wildblue as my ISP. Since then, have been unable to rectify this problem.

None of links mentioned helped at all. Contacted HP online Chat, worked for 2 hours, trying to reconfigure mail, but no solution. Are my files corrupted and what do I do.

To send from different ISP, you will have to substitute ISP's SMTP server.

Tools - Accounts - youraccount - Properties -Servers
do you have your username and password entered?
and checked (x) Log on using clear text authentication
not secure password authentication
not APOP
