Close all windows in one shot
hey people
when I sit on the computer say....to do some work, on-line or to surf the internet, I have the tendency to open lots of windows without closing the previous ones...This leads many small tabs of each window appearing at the bottom of the screen and clearing all this tabs or closing every window takes
number of clicks.....Is there any shortcut so that I can close all the windows in one-shot??
Re: Close all windows in one shot
There is a very easy way out to close the whole kit in one fell swoop,
hold down the Shift key and click the Close button on the last window you opened. That will close all the windows you opened from that last window all the way back to My Computer
Re: Close all windows in one shot
This wont close your multiple windows in one-shot but will make the closing procedure faster.
With Windows 98 and I.E. 4.0, there is an easy way to close multiple
windows simultaneously. To do this, simply hold the Ctrl key and
click on each window's icon in the taskbar. Then simply right click
any one of them and click close.
Re: Close all windows in one shot
there is a program called Closewin
CloseWin can close all open windows and programs in the taskbar in a single swoop. It also allows the user to create profiles for and selectively close windows/programs based on text in the window.
Re: Close all windows in one shot
Use either
Winkey + D ---Bring desktop to the top of other windows.
Winkey + M ---Minimize all windows
And use
Winkey + Shift + M ---- Undo the minimize done by Winkey + D or Winkey +
Re: Close all windows in one shot
ALT + F4 will close the window with focus so by pressing that sequence
repeatedly would close things down and in fact can go all the way to
shutting down the machine.
Also, i think windows has no way to shut down multiple open windows at once.
