What is the connection? Directly on the PC or Switch / Hub / Router? Different USB cable or other USB / FireWire / LAN port.

External 3.5 "network hard drive from Freecom with LAN & USB 2.0 port Capacity: 500 GBInternal 3.5 ". hard drive for maximum performance Ports: LAN 10/100Mbps, USB 2.0, Fast, economical network storage, Uses TCP / IP, Secure access to the disk on the network, as well as from outside via the Internet.USB is much faster, but then the disk is no longer available on the network, either because they can be USB or Lan .. Not both simultaneously. The only thing I could still try is that lan cable from the switch to replace the hard drive because this is one with what was delivered ..

If you're not using a backup power supply—either a battery on your laptop or an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) on your desktop—enabling these features increases the likelihood of data loss in the event of a power outage. Either way, this tweak is worth a look if you're looking to beef up your disk performance, and besides—you should already be using a UPS anyway.
