Maintain platform in Debian
Hello everyone! I am pro license and it was a matter to be tutored, I came across:
Maintain platform.
I found this site .http://maintainproject.osuosl.org/ done directly by the creators of "software", however it is unclear what Maintain, is that someone could explain? Basically I want to know exactly what it is and how it differs from a simple DHCP / DNS on Linux or Windows Server (if it is well understood remote administration, and is not directly DHCP servers and DNS, but can be set). And you know alternatives to Maintain, paid or free?
Thank you very much for your help!
Re: Maintain platform in Debian
on configuration "graphic" via a web page to create the config files for the dhcp server and the other group. I also agree with the opinion of Dark26, it seems just a graphical frontend to php configure a dhcp and dns
Re: Maintain platform in Debian
Access is by a Web page, and it is graphic, it can manage DNS and DHCP, for or against it is a DHCP server, DNS, it just creates files Conf.
I also found IPManager who looks less complete and subject to charges. Webmin is looking to deal squarely and all services.
Otherwise, something that I have not understood is the frontend and backend concepts
= Frontend user interface and backend = what's happening behind you can not see?
Re: Maintain platform in Debian
frontend it is the graphical user backend it can represent everything that is related to treatment behind what is captured in the frontend. But I also saw the term backend designer but rather a frontend for administration / operations.
