system crash with new dell?

I have just bought the new vostro 220 two days before and i am really frustrated.
System crashes all the time.The blue memory screen is continuosly appearing. Also,when i try to restart it,it wont shutdown or shut it down when we leave. just sits on the "shutting down" window for hours. literally.
I've only added itunes, picasa, and FF.
What should Ido now? Relly stuck up.

Since the blue memory screen is continuously shown, that might be the main reason of system crashing. I suggest you pull out the RAM stick from its socket and reconnect it.That might help.

It seems like your memory stick is being damaged.
Try using memtest to determine whether memory has problems or not.
