max message size outlook2007
We have few Windows XP clients running with Small Business Server 2008 and few Vista clients as well. We installed Office 2003 and all XP systems and Office 2007 on Vistas. All mail size limits have been checked OK at the exchange server. On XP everything is working fine but from Windows Vista and Outlook 2007, whenever I try to send an attachment of about 60MB in size, it gives me an error message saying: “The attachment size exceeds the allowable limit".
Can anyone please provide me the cause of this error and how can I fix it? Many thanks.
Re: max message size outlook2007
Well I don’t know why such error is occurring on only Outlook 2007 and not in Outlook 2003 though both are connected to the same domain. But as the systems are connected to the same domain why don’t you just try another ways of transferring files because an attachment of 60 MB is a pretty hefty sized attachment, isn’t it?
Re: max message size outlook2007
I don’t think there is limitation of Attachments Size in Outlook 2007. There would be some another problem, probably from your Domain end. You will need to recheck the settings. Better check in the local policy setting--that's preventing 60MB attachments from working. You can read more about the same in this article: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ou...1231950.aspx#4
Re: max message size outlook2007
I appreciate your help Gonzo but still I have a question on this. It is that our SBS policy implementation is the same for all clients including XP, Vista, Outlook 2003 and 2007. They why just 2007 is having the problem and not Outlook 2003?
So I don’t think the problem is with Domain but Vista or Office 2007.
Re: max message size outlook2007
Alright, it seems like i fixed the problem. What i did was Opened Outlook 2007, clicked Tools > trust center > never changed anything, OK'd out of it, now all is working.
Thanks to all for suggestions
