Screensaver as a wallpaper in Vista
Hi,
As my thread title says i want to use my screensaver as a desktop background. IIs there any way to achieve it ? I know we can set GIF files as background but i want to set one of my favorite screensaver. I'm expecting it is possible. If someone know here how to do it then please tell me the way to do. I'm waiting for any response as early as possible.
Thanks for any help.
Re: Screensaver as a wallpaper in Vista
Windows Vista Ultimate comes with the Dreamscene extra which can turn videos into background screensavers. Several other applications like VLC offer this options as well.
See this thread to know about Dreamscene http://forums.techarena.in/customize...op/1096930.htm

Re: Screensaver as a wallpaper in Vista
First let me say you thanks for making this topic, because of you i learned a new trick today. By searching for your topic i found the below trick :
- Open a command prompt.
- Execute the following command:
Using the name of the screensaver file. Vista includes ribbons.scr, aurora.scr, mystify.scr, and sstext3d.scr.
- Close the command prompt window.
The screensaver will execute while leaving your windows and taskbar. It does hide your desktop icons, but creates a pretty cool effect.
To stop the screensaver “wallpaper,” open the Task Manager, select the screensaver file and click the End Process button.
