Computer doesn't turn ON when pressing power button
I had a problem with my computer, no lights at all! That is when I press the "Power" button nothing is happening, the fan is running more, no beep ...
So I searched the internet and I found some manip (clear cmos ...).
But nothing happens! So I am submitting this message as a last resort! After that, the PC will go to waste!
Re: Computer doesn't turn ON when pressing power button
Clear cmos is if you overclock. (is this the case?). Look at the side instead of your psu in the first instance. And give us details of your config.
Re: Computer doesn't turn ON when pressing power button
First of all I intend to prevent you I'm not very good at computer "art". I do not know my config since it is 3 months that I did most affected but it runs on Xp, 1gb RAM, the graphics card was a Radeon 9000 one in the series I do not remember exactly.
As regards psu as I heard that could test it but I do not know how to
Re: Computer doesn't turn ON when pressing power button
to test your psu you can make a bridge between green and black (between green and blue) connector of your 20 or 24 pins and you fed your disk drive for example and you see if your player works
Re: Computer doesn't turn ON when pressing power button
Several other possibilities:
- You have a voltmeter.
- You have a 2nd hand motherboard or 2nd hand psu.
- Look if, on your motherboard, you have not led, which is illuminated when the power supply is switched on.
- See if you have a fan with a molex to plug into your psu and see if it runs?

Check the HDD connections first.
