Connecting XP workstation to SBS 2008 - launcher.exe crashes.
I have newly setup a SBS 2008 network with nine workstations. 8 of the 9 machines have some kind of issues when connecting to a new domain but when I run http://connect on one machine, the program crashes. First of all, I clicked on the 'start connect computer program' and then run the launcher.exe. After that I click 'set up this computer for other users' and while the software is checking compatibility, it will again crash, with the below error:
"Windows SBS 2008 Connect Computer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Below is the error signature:
EventType: cl420r3
P1: connectcomputer.exe
P2: 6.0.5601.0
P3: 48a22606
p4: mscorlib
P5: 2.0.0.0
P6: 492b834a
P7: f4f
P8: 7
P9: n3ctrye2kn3c34sgl4zqyrbfte4m13nb
I have tried many solutions but nothing is working out for me. Any ideas?
Re: Connecting XP workstation to SBS 2008 - launcher.exe crashes.
You need to ensure that your drivers are up to date, most specifically the Nic driver in your computer should be the latest one. The second choice for you would be to format and reinstall Windows, because a crash like that is indicative of a serious issue, and not a simple compatibility issue.

Which antivirus software you are using and did you try to disable it before you can use that tool actually?
