Benchmarked : Windows Vista vs Windows 7 vs Ubuntu
Recently on the raging articles, reviews and debates on the new home operating system Microsoft released in beta and testable by all. And there is to say that the positive comments out there, although it is still under development. But there is an objective and impartial way to evaluate and make a comparison? They tried, and tuxradar.com comes the reply. Were tested on the same machine, Windows Vista (Ultimate), Windows 7, Ubuntu Ubuntu 8:10 and 9:04 and below are the results more relevant.
Installation Time :

Quite interesting, although everyone knows that this varies in practice.
What is the problem with Ubuntu? He is the most appropriate function for this comparison, and everyone know that is one of the heaviest, then probably other distros to do better.
Now, when I see discussions and comments on the performance or efficiency in Windows from Vista, what scares me is how users seem unaware of them or completely ignore the fact that the entire system has DRM encrusted where they pass the data. Any process in Windows has an energy overhead throwing in the trash, playing in garbage time, with no purpose except to ensure that the system works like MS and their corporate friends of the media you want, not the way the user wants in practice.

We are not talking about the Linux world, but the real world (the fight is not between distributions).
Nowadays people use as synonyms:
Linux = Ubuntu (in rare cases: Fedora or openSUSE)*
* = Windows Vista (in rare cases: XP)
* Windows 7 does not count because it has not yet been officially launched

My comment is in this sense, compared to Windows it is done so using all distros.
Why would the same way the staff of the wrong MS get a bad distro of linux benchmark and show the Windows Vista and Win 7 giving a bath in that distro.
I denied the ubuntu, but compared to me was too biased.
Everyone knows that distributions are not exactly equal either linux or unix.
They all have some differences, then a true comparison using a distro is only good for me biased.
Comparison was not used in either a Unix (FreeBSD and NetBSD).
For issue to me that this comparison is biased.
If Win, Mac, Unix and Linux in a comparative oh yes I would find a good.
If Mac and Ubuntu on Mac biased gain would find the same.
