Twitter account deleted ? how to restore?

Hello I am new here and need some advice.
I have (had) an account on Twitter and it was accessed and a post made and my password changed and then whoever did it deleted the account and when I try and reinstate it the confirmation email to reinstate the account doesn't come to the email address I used for this account, so it seems to me that the person who got into my account changed the details.
I have reported this to Twitter but I have no reply after 5days.
any ideas or ways I can found out if the person I suspect of accessing my account was indeed responsible?

I think only Twitter help and support people can help you out, as your account has been already deleted then perhaps with their database backup's they can reinstate your account, other than that we cant help you out.

Sorry you cant do anything in this matter what you need to do is just to wait for their reply Twitter. Stop using such networking sites if you cant protect your password!
