NTLDR missing...
I have a desktop with Windows XP running on Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe Motherboard. It was working fine but just for a test I flashed the bios. Still there was no problem but as I wanted to select first master in order to boot up my computer, I tried hitting F8 continuously but it is no longer taking me to Safe mode or other options. It now just lists the devices in my computer and I select 1st master to boot up.
This is not what I wanted. So I wanted to know if there is any way I revert back the changes.

Re: NTLDR missing...
Just to confirm let me tell you that in order to get Safe Mode you need to press F8 just after the BIOS message and before loading of OS. As far as your question is concerned, just enter the BIOS by pressing Del key on bootup, go to boot order. You will find CDROM as your first boot device and HDD as second. If there is anything else on second, disable it and make hard drive. Save and exit. Hopefully your problem will be solved.

Re: NTLDR missing...
Hello Pine Le, if you have XP installation CD with you, just insert the same and enter recovery console. Here Run chkdsk /r . Once it is completed visit this URL http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314058 and try fixboot.

Re: NTLDR missing...
I had a power fluctuation for a few seconds, TV and computer went off and came right back on. Computer and TV were on surge protectors. After that the NTLDR message came up and I can't resolve it.
